St. Patrick’s Day, 2014—I became a consultant.

Altametrics hired me, and within a week I had a charcoal Mazda 6 (no more bus rides), a new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 🖋️, a girlfriend, and a brand-new chapter. I led ERP transformations for major restaurant brands, gained incredible mentors, and worked side by side with clients across Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta.

Along the way, I learned the art of demos, enterprise rollouts, UI/UX thinking, machine learning forecasting models, and what it means to be the expert in the room—especially when presenting to execs.

I missed the taco trucks and the waves of Costa Mesa 🌮🌊, but consulting gave me mobility, confidence, and the chance to step into someone else’s world—and help reimagine it.
