Today I work at KPMG as a Senior Associate, leading cross-sector projects across government, healthcare, financial services, cybersecurity, and risk management. I’ve architected solutions, mentored teams, and guided clients through the chaos of modernization. But my story starts long before enterprise slides and acronyms.
My Dad owned a web design business in the ‘90s. I was the wide-eyed kid hovering over his shoulder, absorbing HTML and watching magic unfold from a blinking cursor. That spark never left. ✨
In college, I cleaned carpets in the summer 🧼 and built virtual classrooms for UC Irvine’s Executive Education team during the school year. I found that the intersection of tech and learning—the blend of service and structure—fit me perfectly.
My first corporate role was as a Business Analyst at Ingram Micro. I met two people who changed everything: a visionary product manager who showed me the beauty of building with purpose, and a consultant who lit a fire in me. I wanted to do what he did. So I became a consultant. 💼
One story from that time still sticks with me. After work one day, I was walking the half mile to the bus stop 🚌—on time—but the bus came early. I sprinted, but it pulled away just as I reached the curb. I was frustrated, knowing the next one wouldn’t come for an hour. Then, out of nowhere, a driver in a red truck 🚗 pulled up. He’d seen the whole thing unfold. “Hop in,” he said. “I’ll get you to the next stop.” He did. We caught the bus. I barely had time to thank him.
That moment has stayed with me—not just because it was kind, but because it’s who I want to be. For colleagues. For younger professionals. For clients. I want to be the person who helps them catch the bus, not wait for the next one. 🚏
My break came at Altametrics. Within one week of joining, I bought a charcoal Mazda 6 🚘 (no more bus rides), upgraded to a Galaxy Note 3 🖋️ (switched from 🍏 and never looked back), and started dating someone incredible. Life moved fast, and so did my career.
Altametrics trusted me. They sent me across Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta. I specialized in restaurant ERPs and led client engagements for years. I missed Costa Mesa. The taco trucks 🌮. The ocean 🌊. But I embraced my new home in Plano, and then in Atlanta.
Now at KPMG, I’ve built solutions and strategies for everything from cloud infrastructure ☁️ to DevSecOps 🔐. I’ve found clarity in ambiguity, joy in mentorship, and confidence in knowing that great work begins with a thoughtful question.
This site is my experiment: part portfolio, part playground, all me. I’m exploring ways to apply AI 🤖 to career navigation, storytelling, and personal branding.
